Our glass processing services
Whether you need a single custom cut or a full run of processed units, our team can manufacture glass to suit almost any residential, architectural, or commercial application. Our processing capabilities include:
Cutting and Shaping
We cut glass to size for standard rectangular panes as well as custom shapes and templates. Shaped glass and oversize panes can be produced to suit specialist applications, with digitising available for customer-supplied templates.
Edgework and Polishing
A range of edge finishes to suit both safety and aesthetic requirements, including:
Rough arrised and flat ground edges for safe handling and standard glazing. Flat polished, manual polished, and mitred edges for exposed applications where appearance matters. Flat polished shapes for curved and custom profiles.
Cut-Outs and Notches
Precise corner and edge cut-outs in a range of sizes, available with either rough arrised or polished finishes to suit the application.
Holes and Countersinks
Drilling for fixings, fittings, and hardware, including rough arrised holes, polished holes, and countersunk holes. Pet and fan holes are also available for double glazed units.
Corners
Nipped corners, and radius corners up to 50mm in either a rough arrised or flat polished finish.
Toughening
Standard float glass heat-treated to create Grade A safety glass, up to five times stronger than annealed glass. All cutting, edgework, and drilling must be completed before toughening, so our team can help plan your specification from the start.
Custom Laminating
Manufactured in our Christchurch laminating facility using both EVA and SentryGlas® interlayers, our custom laminated glass suits safety, security, acoustic, and structural applications. A wide range of thicknesses and finishes is available, including clear and milk white interlayers.
Insulated Glass Units (IGUs)
Custom double glazed units manufactured to your exact size and specification, with argon gas filling, leadlights, colonial bars, and a wide range of glass make-ups available.
Additional Processing
To finish and protect your glass, we also offer:
- Back Painting in any Resene or Dulux colour.
- ClearShield surface protection for easier cleaning and lasting clarity.
- Edge Banding for insulated glass units.
- CNC processing for complex and precise work.
- Marine stamping where certification is required.
