Quality Assurance

There are a number of processes that Stake Glass must follow in order to process and manufacture glass. These processes ensure our glass meets the different governing bodies' regulations and can be sold to our customers.

• The glass must be processed in accordance with the New Zealand Standards Authority guidelines.  There are multiple documents that set out industry best practices. In addition to that, specialty glass such as Low E glass, has processes that are independently tested by the supplier to ensure the integrity of the product.
• All safety glass produced at Stake Glass must be independently verified and certified by an external body that issues compliance certification upon passing these tests.  All tests are carried out annually.
• Double Glazing units are also independently tested via BRANZ and these tests ensure the units are fit for purpose and more importantly, allow us to be able to warranty our units for at least 10 years. Independent tests are carried out annually and bi-annually depending on the finished product or components used such as Argon Gas.
• In addition to external quality assurance testing Stake Glass must also perform, hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly checks that are recorded to ensure we maintain the highest standards of processing/manufacture as is possible as per the various guidelines.

Stake Glass complies with these quality assurance standards and processes and is therefore a member of the Glass Industry governing body Window & Glass Association NZ.
