Why It Matters

Standard glass is often the weakest point in a building. When security matters, whether that's a home, a retail front, or a high-risk commercial site, you need glazing that slows an intruder down and holds together under impact.

StakeGuard is designed to resist significant intentional force. The time and effort required to penetrate it acts as a genuine deterrent, giving you added protection, peace of mind, and confidence in your property's security.

What is Security Glass?

Security glass, also known as impact-resistant glass, is specially engineered to provide enhanced protection against break-ins, vandalism and accidents. It's significantly stronger and more resilient than regular glass, offering safety and security while keeping its clarity and clean, attractive appearance.

It's made through a detailed, specialised process — often using multiple layers and advanced materials to build in extra strength and durability. StakeGuard security glass is a laminated glass that combines multiple layers of glass with tough interlayers, helping it withstand significant intentional impact.

How StakeGuard is made

StakeGuard is laminated glass designed to hold together under significant impact. Here's how it's typically made:

1. Selection of Glass Layers
Multiple sheets of glass are selected based on the required thickness and level of security.

2. Interlayer Placement
A tough, flexible interlayer is placed between the glass layers. This interlayer helps hold the glass together on impact and reduces shattering.

3. Lamination Process
The glass and interlayer are subjected to heat and pressure in an autoclave, bonding them into a single, highly durable pane.

Various configurations are available depending on the level of resistance required and the intended application.
